Big data will indeed expedite and secure transportation. Municipalities can implement more efficient means to regulate traffic by employing it. By analyzing the flow of traffic, they may not only shrink the length of traffic jams but they can also gain more time in their trips. This in turn leads to relaxation in the stress of the daily commute for the people.

Vehicles without drivers will be based on big data.

Buses and trains may also operate on improved schedules via the use of passenger count and journey duration data. This, therefore, not only helps cut down on the waiting time but also makes the service more reliable.

At the same time, airlines and maritime transport are equally positioned to make good use of the same. The data of many is the oil that runs the shipping industry. Big data is the fuel that powers sustainable success for transport companies.
